Most people subconsciously define their success and fulfillment by what other people think of them. They think that they need to achieve certain social norms in lifestyle or success in order to achieve validation from other people, and thereby be happy. But the truth is that achieving happiness in life is different for everyone, and it is far more important for you to understand what it means for you and then go after that, than to spend all your time working towards somebody else’s version of a happy and fulfilled life!
But it’s not always easy. We are wired and conditioned to seek approval from others, and to even be paranoid about what others might think of us. In order to be able to really focus on what makes use happy, we need to get beyond all of that, understand that most people hardly care at all for anyone but themselves, and move on with building the best life possible!
