A common question that a lot of people have about Real Men Real Style is how we make money.
Part of the process was explained in the first part of this series which was affiliate marketing.
This post will focus on another aspect – advertising!
Yes, advertising is another way that Real Men Real Style makes revenue.
This is the second installment of a 2-part series on How Real Men Real Style Makes Money. To view the first part which is focused on Affiliate marketing, click here.
If you’ve been a long-time subscriber to the Real Men Real Style Youtube channel or have just watched our videos for a long while you will have noticed that there are ads that play right before the video starts.
At times there are also ads that appear right below the video as it is playing. Then there videos which are sponsored by a particular company.

There are  three ways in which Real Men Real Style incorporates advertising:
Â
1. Youtube Adsense
Youtube Adsense runs on Youtube and is a pretty painless way to earn income from online content. You may also be interested to know that Youtube Adsense is the most likely way many Youtubers make money.
With Yoututbe Adsense there may be videos that play before the video proper, called pre-roll. There may also be ads that pop up as the video is rolling.
Youtube Adsense is totally dependent on the owner of the account. Youtube has to have their permission before running these ads. In exchange for playing the ads, revenue is generated for the owner of the video.
An advantage in using Adsense is that random ads do not just pop up. The ads are actually targeted and based in specific keywords that may be mentioned in the video. Because of this the ads can really be specific, laser focused and very relevant.
Note that Real Men Real Style only agree to do these ads with companies that I actually trust and like. I go for companies that are known for their great customer service, have a superior product and add value to a relevant audience.
Â
2. Google Adsense
Â
Google Adsense has some similarities to Youtube Adsense but instead of appearing on Youtube, it can appear on any web property that a person owns.
Sometimes, I add Google ads to these websites. I like putting a few Google ads here and there because the ads are very targeted.
The way it works is that every time someone on my website clicks on these ads I get a little amount- starting from a nickel. The revenue depends entirely on the particular keyword that is targeted.
Â
3. Premium Sponsors
Premium sponsors are companies or individuals that I have agreements with regarding running ads on my websites.
To use an example Lee Jeans is the primary sponsor for Real Men Real Style right now. I have been working with them for a year.
I wear and use their product on a regular basis.
With Lee Jeans I work to seamlessly integrate their brand with the content found at Real Men Real Style.
In saying that it is still very important to do this in a manner that is objective, relevant and at the same time never let the viewers feel like they are just being sold a product.
Â
Before you rush off and incorporate advertising on all your sites, a word of caution…
Advertising is a great way to make revenue but one needs to make sure that they are getting good traffic first before going this route.
If you are just starting out and have a small following the best advertising route to follow would be to get a premium sponsor before anything else.
