Read any MIND-BLOWING books lately?
I haven't…
I HATE reading.
But I LOVE listening to audiobooks.
Seriously – these 5 books have changed my life.
If you're like me, you're a busy, success-driven guy who wants to be TAKING ACTION. Relaxing with a book is not your speed. Who has time?
But if you want success, you need to be constantly learning. Like Mark Twain said – “The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read.”
The solution? Listen to mind-blowing books while commuting, exercising and doing chores. Make learning part of your daily routine – at a time cost of ZERO seconds.
I'm going to share with you the 5 most mind-blowing books I've listened to in the last year. These audiobooks will make you think!
Mind-Blowing Books #1. Thinking In Bets – Annie Duke
I'm a logical thinker and this audiobook forced me to rethink the way I make decisions.
Before I listened to Thinking In Bets, I considered a success the result of a series of smaller successful decisions. Logical, huh?
And if something didn't work, I'd go back and look at the decisions I made in order to change them. Well, this audiobook taught me the importance of another factor: LUCK.
“There are exactly two things that determine how our lives turn out: the quality of our decisions and luck.” – Annie Duke
I'll admit, luck was not a term I was comfortable with. But sometimes decisions are down to just that – luck.
Thinking In Bets shows you how to think in a series of bets and this redefines how we think about right and wrong. Gentlemen, this is a game changer – go get it now!

#2. The 5 Second Rule – Mel Robbins
A friend recommended this audiobook to me and I'll be honest with you, I wasn't expecting much when I downloaded it.
The 5 Second Rule sounded a bit ‘woolly' but I gave it a try. And I'm glad I did.
The concept is amazingly simple: motivation isn't always going to help you do what you know you need to do. If you're hesitant about doing something, just count down from five.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Go!
I know it sounds crazy. But it works because counting down from 5 awakens your prefrontal cortex – the part of your brain involved in decision making. And by counting down and getting to 0 – you're forcing yourself to act.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1: download it!

#3. Building A Storybrand – Donald Miller
I listened to this book on my phone when I was doing a lot of traveling in Ukraine. I love to walk and listen – I just plug in a pair of Bluetooth headphones and away I go.
Building A Storybrand works on a simple idea:
“Your customer should be the hero of the story, not your brand.”
So if you're selling a product, you need to adapt your pitch to your customer's problem and not their company's. People want to be the hero of their own stories, so ask yourself how your product will it help them. How will it make their job easier?
The great thing about this audiobook is that you can apply this paradigm shift to all aspects of life.
Take going for a job interview as an example. This interview isn't about you, it's about how you'll make the guy interviewing you look great when you come in and transform the company. If he or she can see that, you've got the job.
I love mind-blowing books that really make you think and change your perspective, and Building A Storybrand is one of them.

#4. Grit – Angela Duckworth
The concept behind this book is fascinating. Angela Duckworth is a pioneering psychologist and she teaches that the key to making outstanding achievements in life isn't down to talent – it's down to focused persistence or in other words – grit.
“Talent does not exist, we are all equals as human beings. You could be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that's that. I am not talented, I am obsessed.”
– Conor McGregor, UFC Featherweight Champion
Successful people get to where they want to be by building up their perseverance and persistence. This study-based book shows you just how to do that in order to reach your goals.

#5. Captivate – Vanessa Van Edwards
Author Vanessa Van Edwards has spent years studying the hidden forces that drive our behaviors. She's what's known as a human behavior hacker.
If you've ever felt uncomfortable at public speaking events, or if you've found yourself wondering what someone thinks of you, you'll find this book very useful. It shows you how to understand or ‘decode' people's behaviors – how to understand the science of people. (And it's completely different to what you've been taught at school.)
You should consider this book a human instruction manual – and it's all backed by science.
Captivate gives you the systems and shortcuts you need to take charge of your daily interactions, whether they are in the home, at work or in any social situation.
Gents, make time for continued learning by making the most of your commute or even your daily chores by listening to audiobooks on audible that you can download straight to your phone or tablet.
