Time management for men – it's a challenge.
Picture this: You wake up in the morning, you already have a pile of emails from your boss asking for updates.
Your kids need help getting ready. Your wife needs your help around the house.
Before you know it, you've skipped lunch and you're stuck in the office until 9 pm. Dinner at home got cold.
Gents, I'm going to tell you how to fix that – here are my top five simple habits for men to get sh!t done.

1. Learn How To Prioritize Tasks
A busy man can easily lose himself in his work. The more tasks that pile up, the more you might find yourself scrambling to solve them as they come. If you aren't careful you might be stretching yourself thin.
To mitigate this, make a habit of compiling the tasks you have by urgency using the priority matrix.
What should comprise your most urgent goals? Work that – if not completed soon – will have severe and immediate consequences.
Examples are missed deadlines with clients, or prepping for a big promotion interview.
Another approach is to assess what the stakes are in completing the task. If it affects a larger number of people, it's another reason to give it precedence.
2. Stop Taking In Unnecessary Information
Waking up to a hail of work emails and household chores can make for a chaotic start to the day.
Effective time management for men can sometimes be a matter of consolidating and restricting the time in which information reaches you. The less you take in at a time, the better you'll be at getting everything you need to be done.
It may be difficult, but waking up earlier can go a long way to garnering that efficiency. I always recommend waking up at 5 am. It's not about getting less sleep, it's about carving out extra time for yourself.
By taking measures to control how information gets to you, you'll be one step closer to mastering time management!
3. Make A Plan
This may seem fairly obvious to most guys, but it's important for a different reason than you'd expect. Yes, it's key to establish your strategy toward attaining any goal – whether it be a new car or a million dollars – but what's more important than the plan itself?
The planning process.Â
Why do I say this? Because nine out of ten times, things won't go according to plan. you'll inevitably be thrown a curveball and you'll be forced to reconsider your plan of attack.
This doesn't mean ditching your goal – on the contrary, you may find the drive to pursue it with even more determination. By making a consistent habit out of planning however, you become a man of flexibility. As you gather more planning experience, you'll be better at working around problems and developing new solutions.
4. Take Massive Action
I say to take massive action over simply working hard because it's a claim that everyone makes, yet it's seldom the case.
This is all about keeping a steady pace toward your goals and keeping a high standard throughout.
Keeping yourself motivated to be disciplined is a challenge, which is why it's essential to surround yourself with people who work just as hard and have as great an attitude as you do!
5. Never Forget To Celebrate
Last but not least when it comes to simple habits for a more productive life for men is to celebrate!Â
It's something many of us forget as we become tied up and utterly focused on responsibilities. We pride ourselves in working our bodies to the breaking point, being up and at 'em by 7 am and taking a breather at 10 pm.
It's just as important to set some time aside for the other things that matter – such as yourself and your family.
The other reason I advocate for waking up at 5 am is you can indulge in what you like. For at least two hours, you have time to do what's important to you – whether it's going to the gym, having a cup of coffee or listening to an audiobook.
Make sure to schedule fun time with the family as well. Your success is meaningless if you can't share it with your loved ones.
