You asked, I listened – by popular demand, I'm reacting to a video by José Zuniga at Teaching Men's Fashion.
I get it – José has a very different style from my channel.
One thing that's great about him is he's not afraid to talk about EMBARRASSING stuff.
I picked out a video I'd never seen before: ‘5 Problems ONLY GUYS Have to Deal With (And How to Solve Them)'.
Sounds innocent enough, right? Turned out it was a good thing my daughters weren't in earshot.
Enjoy my unscripted reaction.

José starts out by saying, ‘There are a couple struggles that men have to deal with that women just won't understand completely.'
I agree – women do not understand all the struggles men go through. Good point, José.
First problem on his list?
#1: SWAMP BALLS
As soon as I heard this I knew he was getting sponsored by Chassis. Great company, I know the founders personally, they make the best ball powder on the market. I wasn't wrong.
His first tip to fix swamp balls? ‘Make sure you keep the hedges trimmed.'
Sorry José – I'm not gonna be shaving my crotch area for you. But I understand where you're coming from – trimming your pubic hair means you get less sweaty down there.
I love how he brings in slower music when he's talking about the user experience with the ball powder. José, you're doing awesome.
‘You're gonna get a little tingling sensation throughout the day. It's kind of like a minty feeling down there. It's pretty pleasurable.' – José Zuniga
It's pretty pleasurable? I don't know what to say about that.
#2. Hair Struggles
Again, José makes some good points here. The gap between expectation and reality at the barber can be large.
I agree – you should have no hair on your back. And I cannot erase this image from my head. Thank you, José.
Patchy beards are a real problem – I totally get it. I like how José focuses on age groups, because if you're in your 20s and you're losing your hair that's definitely a problem and you don't know what to do.
Before we go on to #3 – I want to address something. Some of you guys left comments on the last reaction video I did with Alpha M like ‘Antonio, you're just jealous', or ‘Your channel is never gonna be as great as his.'
You know what? I agree in many ways. Aaron is freaking amazing. He's one of my best friends.
I know you're probably thinking, ‘You just want to get subscribers from Teaching Men's Fashion.'
Yeah – I do. And you know what? I have no issue with this, and neither do these guys – because they're my friends. I've built a great relationship with them.
If you want to know how to turn YOUR competitors and role models into your friends – you want to attend a conference like Menfluential. It's the conference I created with Alpha M, where I met José for the first time.
I've created multiple companies out of this conference because of the relationships I built there. I was talking to a guy just the other day who landed a job with a six-figure salary because of a connection he made there. And I know several guys who've started a company out of the connections they made at Menfluential.
The best investment you can make is in yourself – and that's why I created this event.
#3. Having To Make The First Move
‘So for some reason, society has made it a rule that the guy has to make the first move to approach that person that they like' – José Zuniga
This is actually backed up by research. It's been shown that 75% of women still expect a man to ask them out or to make the first move.
Is this a problem? I don't think so. I think it puts a man in a position of power so that you can choose who you actually want to go after – and as many of you guys know, it's a numbers game.
But José makes a great point – doing this can get us labeled as creeps. Most of you guys are not creeps. Some of you are – but most of us are just doing recon. We're trying to figure out if this is someone we want to engage with.
The solution? Practice. I absolutely agree with this. Learn what to do when a woman makes eye contact with you and practice approaching women. It's going to take your confidence level up and take your creep level down – well, hopefully.
#4. Teaching Men's Fashion = WRONG About Shaving
I'm sorry – I don't agree with José on this one.
He starts off by complaining that we have to shave. Sure, your lady friend has to shave her entire legs, underarms, and any other hairy bits – but we have to shave our FACES. Tough break, right?
Actually, I don't see shaving as a problem. I find it relaxing. And that's not all I disagree with here.
‘Always shave up and down and never for the love of God go side to side' – José Zuniga
José, I love you man, but I have to school you here. You can't just tell people you have to shave up and down and not left and right – it's not that simple. It's about understanding of the grain.
The grain is the direction in which your hair grows. In general, you want to shave with that direction – whether it be left and right or up and down. Most of the time it is going to be up and down.
You CAN also shave against the grain and get a little bit closer of a shave – but when you do that you increase the chance of getting an ingrown hair.
#5. Having To Adjust Yourself In Public
‘The one thing that you know for sure: you need to adjust' – José Zuniga
Okay, this is a legit problem. We've all been out walking around and found ourselves inappropriately excited. What to do? José has got you covered with his ‘coin in the pocket trick'.
This isn't really the kind of topic I'm going to talk about, so I'll let José explain the ‘coin in the pocket trick' to you himself.
